There’s no doubt that one of the things people most often miss while doing keto is fast food. Maybe it’s the taste that you miss or maybe it’s the lack of effort you once had to put into your food. With this easy low carb Big Mac recipe, you’re sure to satisfy your craving and not spend a lot of time preparing your meal. This works great whether you made homemade cheeseburgers or if you get a bunless cheeseburger from your local fast food chain.
Low Carb Big Mac
It tastes like the real thing. If you make this, you’ll never want to cheat on your diet again. Our version of a low carb Big Mac is healthy, tasty and filling. You won’t even realize you’re dieting! Just a few ingredients are used in this recipe, but you can add whatever toppings you’d like to satisfy your craving. It starts with the Big Mac basics: 2 cheeseburger patties, lettuce (in this case, we use spinach since it has more vitamins, which you need on this diet), pickles, onions and Walden Farm’s Thousand Island Dressing.
What’s the damage?
The calorie, carb, and fat content are far better than the real thing but it’s packed with all the flavor that the original recipe has. Maybe more, since we use spinach as opposed to iceberg lettuce. The main reason for this is the vitamin content since it’s sometimes difficult to get all of the vitamins that you need with this WOE. We eat a lot of meat and fatty foods but very little vegetables.
We used 90% lean ground chuck patties which are 184 calories each. This can vary greatly in your recipe depending on the type of meat that you use or buy (fast food vs. grocery store meat and the fat content in the meat).
