Things have been super busy in the That Keto Kouple household over the past couple of weeks. We’ve been posting more and more of our favorite recipes, trying to stay up on Instagram and interacting with as many people as possible. Speaking of Instagram, we just passed 5,000 followers today. How awesome is that? I have to admit, I had doubts that 100 people would want to keep up on our weight loss journey, so the fact that 5,000 of you have joined us on your journey is humbling to me and I want to thank you all!
I’m both dreading and looking forward to Monday’s weigh-in. My weight-loss seems that have slowed to a crawl lately. Since the end of February, my weigh-ins have looked like this: +1.6, -2.4 and -0.6. That’s right, when you add in the week that I gained, I have lost a grand total of 1.4 pounds in the month of March. I’m not hoping for anything huge this week, but if I can somehow manage to lose 1.8 pounds, I will reach the 30-pound milestone. 30 pounds gone and never coming back. I’m excited at the thought but worried about how I will feel if I don’t hit it.
Why am I losing slowly? I’m not completely sure, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it has to do with me not tracking my macros very well (read: at all). I’m trying to change that now, though. I’ve downloaded My Fitness Pal and am now tracking my food to make sure everything is where it needs to be. I don’t particularly think I’m overeating. If anything, it’s very possible that I haven’t been eating enough. There are many days when I’m simply not hungry until later in the day. It’s hard to get into the mindset that you might want to eat something when you’re not actually hungry. Thay kind of thinking got me to where I am today. We’ll see what the scale looks like.
Wifey and I also launched our YouTube Channel this past week. We launched the channel with my favorite recipe. Keto Cheesecake! I know many of you on Instagram have been asking about our recipe so here it is! I have to warn you. It is VERY addictive. I would seriously live off this cheesecake if wifey would let me (She won’t, I tried). Here’s the video if you’d like to check it out:
Over the coming weeks, we’re going to be adding a lot of content to our channel such as more recipes, product reviews, Q&A sessions and much more. We’re even toying with broadcasting our weekly weigh-in live for the world to see.
I’ll be back with an update on Monday after I leave the scale and hopefully hit my 30-pound milestone.
