Tired and Lazy
I know you’re supposed to have more energy with this WOE, but I’ve been dragging ass this week. For some reason, I’ve been so tired and have had little energy. Last week I totally kicked butt and dropped some serious pounds, but I’m not feelin’ it this week. Did I mention that I lost 6 pounds last week?!? 😀 I’m still so proud of that number.
What I’m expecting this week…
I know it’s Friday, but I’m hoping to turn this week around before Monday comes around. Being tired is no fun and it’s put a damper on my mood and work activities. I’ve been trying to eat a little less, hoping that would help boost my energy but it didn’t work. You know the feeling after a full meal and you just want to lie down and take a nap? That’s what I’ve been trying to avoid.
All in all, I think I’m doing good. I’m still IF’ing and staying well below my calories. Last night, I actually had to have some keto cheesecake (stole the last piece from hubby) to make sure I had enough fat. It was total deliciousness on a plate. A big plate. A pan, fine. It was a pan. But only one slice because that’s about all I can eat (and had to force myself to meet my macros), and it was the only piece left.
Tips to motivate you
- Drinking lots of water will help flush your body, and keep you hydrated.
- Go walking. Exercise naturally boosts serotonin.
- Stretch. Yes, do some stretching to help loosen up some of the stiffness that’s in your body. If you’re like me, you likely sit at a desk all day and are tense.
- Have sex. Having sex is a natural sex reliever, increases serotonin (why! Why not skip exercising? jk!) and puts you in a better mood.
What I expect on Monday
As much as I’m hoping for another big weigh-in day, I don’t think it’ll happen. Even though I’m still doing IF, I’m mainly doing it to help keep my calories in check. The reason I don’t think I’ll have another big drop is because, typically, after you have a big whoosh your body has to catch up. I think my body will play catch up this week and probably next week, too. But remember one thing:
Even if you don’t see the changes on the outside (the scale), there ARE changes going on on the inside.
I like to call this my “adjustment period”. It’s that point in time where my body’s trying to catch up to my huge success of weight loss. And I’m okay with that! I didn’t pack it all on overnight so I don’t expect to lose it all overnight, either. It’d be nice, but I’m happy with what I have done and will accomplish in the future.
